TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

We have pleasure in again bringing before our readers the announcement of tlit big metropolitan show of the above Society. This year the Show is to be held on the Society's now and up-to-date '■grounds at Wftiwukaiho, and the date; are fixed for February 28 and March 1. Entries are now coming in and big entries arc anticipated all round. The prize schedule, which is now available and may be had from the ?e----entry free on application, has been crrefully revised. It is exceedingly complete and covers a very wide scops comprising divisions for ring catt'e, sheep, pigs and fat stock. The grounds and buildings are now almost complete and should by Sliow time be in splendid condition. A groat boon to cattle exhibitors is the handsome pavilion in waich everything to ensure eemfort and safety of stock is being done.

Intending exhibitors are reminded to consign stock to the Smart Road Station, where a specially appointed committee will meet them and convey them to suitable paddocks and then to the Show Grounds.

Although this is war time tliero is every reason to believe that the efforts of the committee to hold the annual Show as usual wili be rewarded by generous attendance of the public, and nominations in large numbers by owners of stock.

There is plenty to be seen and enthuse over in the leaping and jumping competitions. Side shows are generally a feature of these outings and the tent men are sure to muster strongly on this occasion. The weather, always an important feature, only needs to be lino to make the two days' fixture pleasant to patrons and profitable to the Society.
