' Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, as under:— For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at G. 15 a.m., 12.20 and 3.55 p.m. For Auckland and North, per steamer, Tuesday and Friday, at 7 p.m. Mails for United" Kingdom, Continent of Europe, North, South and Central America, South Sea, Islands, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Rarotonga, Tahiti, Honolulu and all places beyond Australia will lie despatched as opportunity offers by first available steiuner. The public are requited to post their correspondence and not wait for notification of timos and dates of closing mails for places beyond Australia, which will not. be given. MONDAY, JANUARY 29.
