Pernambuco, January 20. Captured crews state that tlio St. Theodore kept the raider company until she transferred her prisoners to the Yarrowdale. The St. Theodore's crew was plated on board the raider, and the St. Theodore went off raiding on December 20. When the Mount Temple was sunk many 'horses broke loose and swam to the raider and were shot from thp deck. VERY HEAVY LOSSES. OF GERMAN SMALL CRAFT. -T' i ■"*' " London, January 20. The Daily Mail's correspondent states that petty officers and men of the UG9 admit that the German smaller craft were vapidly used up last year. The Jutland and submarine losses were heavy necessitating muih replacement of the latter, which is regarded as worth while. i

ANXIETY AT NEW THREATS. ! 1 Received 27, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen, January 27. Eighty-two Danish vessels, worth 70,000,000 kroner, have 'been torpedoed. There is great anxiety concerning the j new-.submarine threats. SUBMARINE RAIDERS. * METHODS OF WORKING. ' Received Jan. 28, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen, Jan. 27. The crew of the torpedoed ship Gcrle. state that a submarine stopped the Oerda in in Bay of Biscay when she was ei\ route for England. A prize crew boarded her and ho.sted the German flag. The ship then went south, substitut'ng i Danish flag whenever a vessel i,waa sighted. The Germans sank several steamers with bombs, taking the crews. When food was scarce, the captives wers larded, in Spam. The Gerda was blown up, the piratss rejoining the submarine. ANTI-SUBMARINE MEASURES. CHARTERING 'FOREIGN TONNAGI". Renter Service. Received Jan. 28, 5.5 p.m. London, .Jan. 27. A deputation from the Navy League submitted a proposal for the more vigcions suppression of submarining. An explanation by Sir Edward Carson and ,Sir John Je'lieoe of the measures ioi ccunter-attacking satisfied the deputation.
