SOME STIFF FINES Auckland, January 24. At the Police Court to-day, Alexander Maekie and David 1 Henry Simon were eaeh fined £(10 on two charges of being in the street for the purpose of betting. Frank Batliie, barman, \va:« lined £lO for ,receiving payment for liquor contrary to anti-shouting regulations.
