DEFEAT OF REBELS London, January 22. An Italian communique states that the Italians caught the lleeing Tripolitan rebels, mentioned on the 18th, and again defeated them after a fierce battle that lasted three hours. It is estimated that the rebel losses in two days were S2O killed and 1300 wounded. 'J HE POPE CONDEMNS ATROCITIES Rome, Jan. 22. Ecclesiastical circles affirm that the Pope has expressed strong disapproval of German and Austrian atrocities. The Stnmpii states that the Pope ins instructed bishops and priests in neutral countries to refrain from publ c discussion of the Peace Notes.
