MONTHLY MEETJNC. The New Plymouth Harbor Board met yesterday, Mr. J. B Coimett presiding. Others present were: .Messrs. Newton King, E. Doekrill, J. MacCluggage, (~ K. Beliringer, D. I. Hughes, E. Maxwell. •*.pologies for absence were received from Messrs. A. C. Wilkinson and J. Marx. HARBOF MASTER'S REPORT. Captain William Waller, harbor-mas-tor. reported that during the live weeks er.ding on Janu irv IS, 27 steamships, aggregating i\,VT,ii tons, arrived at the breakwater. The imports amounted Li I.HO tons, including 13,3.4 tons of -r.al foi private use. The exports for the same period amounted to 11.12 tons, making a total of !5<i22 tons handled. The haibor was sounded during favorable weather conditions on Jan. 18, SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT. Pour days were observed as holidays, ar.d one day was occupied in shipping moorings T.'it dredge Thomas King, dredged, on 2J days, tilt- net time worked and removed 154 loads equal to 12,'ifl'J tons. Tbii dredge will be placed on tin: cvidiron for inspectm and overhhnl on January 23. The workmen bad been engaged at the u-iiial '.v : .virf repair.', boat i-cpairs, etc., und the diver and crew were engaged «m l.j dr.y.; in attending t'k T'aritntu.
