Commenting oh. the between Spiller (United) v. H. Smart, the Dominion says: This game was a runaway win for United, who played up to thoir best form, whilst the Now Plymouth men would have lost plenty of games had they not played so loosely. That remark doe's not apply to Smart, whose soundness and consistency, as a bowler, are just as steady virtues as his modesty and good-feeling. Spiller wa.yn a winning vein, drew with easy confidence and built his head shrewdly. The game was o—s in favor of United on the seventh head, when that team got in a six, two, and one on the next three heads, This took the sap out of Smart's men, and No 3 had to miss the drives he. was called upon to make now and again, to dislodge Unitcd's good shots. The game finished 22—10. '
THE TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. In connection with the draw of rink? in the Taranaki Bowling Tournament,! owing to inadvertence, one of the skips that should have been, set down a<. representing Manaia wa.s included in the Waverley entries, hence the error in stating that Manaia was not represented. MeKell7.it>, who skips the Manaia team, plays in Section A. The other sections remain as previously notified.
