The Press Buicau reports that Mr. Lloyd George and his colleagues on the War Cabinet held a series of important conferences at Xivelle with Field-Mar-shal Sir Douglas Haig on Monday and Tuesday. ATTEMPTED RAID REPCLSED. Received Jan. 17, 9.15 p.m. London, Jan. 17. Field-Marshal Sir Douglas liaig reports.—An evening's attempted raid north-east of Gueudeeourt was repulsed. There has been active mutual artilleryWg- ~ FRENCH SUCCESSES. London, Jan. IS. A French communique reports: TheM has been mutual bombardments on the hanks of the Somme and on the right terik of the Meuse and in Lorraine. We carried cut several successful eoups-de-main and took material and prisoners. BRITISH RAID ON LOOS London, Jan. 16. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We raided the lines eastward of Loos, inflicting n.an> casualties. We shelled transport northward of the Ancre. . - ENEMf ATTACK REPULSED. London, Jan. 10. A French communique states: An enemy cpup-Se-main in the Somme region, under cover of air torpedo and gas shell fire, was easily repulsed. Our artillery vigorously replied. DEPORTATION OF CHILDREN. Amsterdam. Jan. 10. The Telegraaf states that Germany has notified- Antwerp that 30,000 children from occupied France will be transferred to Antwerp.
