SUGGESTED. APPOINTMENT, OF REPRESENTATIVES. TO ATTEND CABINET DURING WAR. Received Jan. 17, 10.18 p.m. London, Jan. 17. The 'Pall Mall Gazette says that ■probably the Imperial Conference will arrange for a continuation of the Dominions' representation during the war. Cabinet is favoranle to the proposal, and has suggested that each Dominion shall appoint a representative, available for consultation and attendance at Cabinet meetings, thereby securing a continuity policy. The appointment of a Dominions' secretariat is urged. "VICTORY" WAR LOAN. FURTHER MILLIONS RECEIVED. Received Jan. 17, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. Ifi. The City Corporation has decided to subscribe '.■£2,000,000 of new money to the War Lotfti, the Refuge Assurance Company subscribes ■ £2,125,000, the Liverpool. Victoria and Legal Friendly £1,000,000 each. Many of those holding policies in the United States Life Assurance Offices are borrowing on the surrender value at 5 per cent, interest, and are investing in the War Loan, •IMPORTED RABBITS COMMAN- • DEERED. •Received Jan. 17, 9.50 p.m. London, Jan. l(i. It is understood that the Government is taking over all rabbits afloat. It is ■believed "thatHhey will use the best for rations and for hospitals, and will allow the rest to pass through the usual channels.
