Dr. McNab, Ministei for Marine, who was in a Wellington private hospital last week, w:'s able to gej; outdoors on Sunday, imt on Monday ho had a slight? relapse. He is likely to bo laid up again for some days. The Hon F. ,T. Green, of the Hawaiian Legislature, and Mrs. Green are spending a short time in Taranaki and havo gone to the North Mountain House for a week or so. Mr. and Mrs. Green intend paying a visit to the Mokau beforo' returning to Honolulu. Dr. H. B. Leatham, of New Plymouth, has been appointed by the Public Health Department to visit the various hospitals of the Dominion for the purpose of enquiring into,the X-rnys plants. Sister Wnite, of the New Plymouth Hospital, has resigned her position as wnrd sister, and has accepted a similat position on the nursing staff of the Wellington Hospital.

The Citizens Band committee lias placed on record its deep sense of regret at the death of Mr. Harry Stocker, who has always taken an interest in ihe band's welfare and had been a, constant subscriber.

Mr. 0. P. Bastings, dispenser and houaa steward at the New Plymouth Hospital tendered his resignation at yesterday's meeting of the Board. The resignation was not accepted, and the chairman was asked to interview Mr. Bastings with ft view to persuading him to reconsider his d(cision.
