Count Bernstorfi shows evidences of being nonplussed by the widespread nature of the Allies' demands, and haa ceased hi conferences with reporters. Apparently this is*due to fear of reprimand by President, Wilson, who is known to be most indignant at some of Count Bernstorff's insinuations, nnder the cloak of anonymity, concerning President Wilson's assistance in the Ger. man peace drive.
