QUESTION OF PRIVATE SAIJ3S. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. By Telegraph.—r-"-- Association. Welington, Last Night. The commission agents und merchants engaged in tho sale and shipment of cheese waited on the Minister of Agriculture to-day regarding the difficulty* experienced concerning nrivate sales, Mr. Mac Donald replied that the de j putation's. representations would ■ hava every consideration. He would get further data before issue'of the proclama-* tion retfliisitioning cheese. The Minister states that the proclamation is now being drafted, and that payment will bo made to the owner oi cncese, whoever he may be, who delivers ii to the Government agent. "Wo hie only dealing with owners of cheese, bv.t commission agents, merchants and others have claims thereon, and want to know how they are to be settled but instead of settling matters among them* selves they want me to settl. them.*
