FINANCIAL POSITION. I By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 13. The Acting-Minister of Finance has issued a statement showing the revenue and expenditure of the Dominion for the nine months ended December 31. Notwithstanding the deficiency in the month of December compared with the previous year, tho figures show an increase for the nine months of £1,043,133 over the corresponding period of 1915. The principal items of revenue arc:— • Customs, £2,923,763. , Stamp and death duties, '£1,255,470. Posts and Telegraphs, £1,231. 578. Railways, £3,478,571. The expenditure was £10,088,204, compared with £n,K!5,55& during-the similar period of 1915. SEDITIOUS UTTERANCES. Wellington, Jan. 13. William Parker, a watersider, was sentenced to-day to twelve months' imprisonment for seditious utterances in Post Office Square.
