A final reminder is given to horseowners and trainers that entries for all handicaps, and for the Moturpa Electric Hack Race and the Urenui.Electric HackRace, close to-night at fl o'clock. The programme, which appears in full in another column, is a splendid one. and should attract numerous entries The •Taranaki Cup, of 550 sovs., 1} miles, and tut Paul Memorial Handicap, of 250 so'.s., nue fmioiigs, are good stakes, and open sprints, hack hurdles, and hack flat races make up a varied menu. N'o stake is worth less than lflfl sovs. Weights for the first day's events will not be declared Vntil the eonqlusion of the Egmont Racing Club's summer meetm?, thus giving the handieapper a better "line"' as regards recent winners, and the idea is one that should find favor kvith owners of horses unsuccessful at Hawcra the previous week.
