It war also reported that the Tftra* naki companies had advanced from lOd to Is per lib for milk supplied to cheese factories during November, while even smaller advances were being eontemplated for the December supply, un J less tnc congestion due to inadequate shipping facilities was greatly reduced in the interval The East Coast dairy factories were reported as having ad' vaneed lOd for November supplies. In view of increased insurance finann . cial difficulties due to the congestion, the uncertainty as to the rate which! would be paid foi cheese by the Im* peria! C.ovennnent, avid.to the increaw in rate of freight, it was decided to recommend the associated dairy companies to advance not more than la per lb for Mitter-fat supplied during the month of Decembei, such advance in respect of butter to be subject to certain premium' and reductions a» i usual. It was emphasised bj members that the prospect was a good one, and that tbe payments realised would likely be satisfactory, and when sales were reported from time to time it was proliable that further substantial progress payments would be made. i
