GERMAN COMMERCEDESTROYERS 7 TIITSY IN THE ATT.ANTIQ Received Jan. 4, 7.10 p.m. New York. Jan. 3. Reuter Service. Arriving vessels report having sighted a new armed German commerce destroyer. equipped with torpedo tubes, which sank several freighters. Later reports express anxiety resnrding overdi'' freighters. It is considered that the Geo-gic liner Voitaire was probably mined. Submarine victims. London, Jan. 3 Tl:e Swedish steamer Goosebridge and the failer Aconcagua have been sunk. The British steamer Holly Branch, and the Norwegian Erica have been sunk by submarines. Copenhagen, Jan. 3. When the Tuokar was sunk and the crew took to their boats one capsized and the men struggled for their lives. The submarine did not attempt to save them, and three were djrowned. MORE VESSELS SUNK United Service. Received Jan. 4, 0.15 p.m. London. Jan 3. The following sinkings are reported: Tin- Norwegian steamers Britannic and Ellik. and the British steamer Baycraig.
