The Britisli Legation at Christiana states that the prohibition is <lm to • the unsatisfactory manner in which Norway is carrying out certain obligations. iWHAT THE PROHIBITION" MEANS. Received Jan. 4, 5.5 p.m. Christistnia, Jan. The. coal prohibition causes considerable anxiety. The Aftenposten states that Grp:H Britain aeciß»= Norway of failure to fn!her obligations regarding the export of ore and fish. If the prohibition is maintained, it will mean the stoppage of the Nortb Sea traffic. Other newspapers statt that negotiations between the Norwegian-and British Governments •re proceeding.
