THE KING OF HEDJAZ RECOGNISED, Bcceived Jan. 4, 7.10 p.m. London, Jan. Renter Service The Grand Sheriff of Mecca lias been notified that his assumption of the title of King of Iledjaz has been definitely recognised by Great Britain, France and Italy. (Hejaz, or Hedjaz, is a Turkish vilayet in Arabia, on the north,half of the Red Sea coast. It contains the sacred cities of Mecca and Medina.)
