; SATURDAY'S SALE OF GOODS. Following -the resignation of tho Mart Committee of the Red Cross Society, and pending the re-organisation of the committee, the mart will be conducted on Saturday next by i-lie Mayoress and member; of the W omen s Patriotic League. Residents of the town and district are invited to remember tbe 'humane and patriotic cause foi which the British Red Cross was established, and to give thou ready sympathy and support to that cause. rlowers, cakes, and home produce are required for the mart, as well as purchasers of the goods given. The Women's .Patriotic League v.'ill pursue its weekly cflort a? usual, and ilowers and other goods will be sold at the stands in Devon and Brougham - Streets.
