♦■ i ANZACS CAPTURED BY GIRLS London, December 20 Australian officers and soldiers a<rree as to the necessity for marriage by proxy. Mr. Fisher (High Commissioner) savs that he is convinced by the information at his disposal, and his own observation that it would be an excellent thing for all concerned. The officer in charge if the allotment branch of the A.I.E. stales that the marriages in Britain are increasing, and there are now frequently as many as 50 a week. There are now 7000 allotments to English dependents, costing the Commonwealth £40,(100 a month. j
