■■ MAITAF3 POSITION SERIOUS. By Te'egraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 28. Tlu Union Company has received advice that the Jlaitai. which was stranded at Rarotonga on Christmas night, on the south reef, lies in a bad position and it is doubtful if she can be refloated.
