W, Smith, at the Pukekura Park Observatory, were recorded: — Maximum temperature, 79deg. oil 23rd and 24th; minimum temperature, C3deg. on 21st, 'JOdcg. on Ist; maximum wet bulb, 88deg. on 23rd, (iOdeg . ou Ist; minimum wet bulb, ilOdeg. on 25tih, 44 deg. on Ist; terrestrial thermometer (3 inches from grass), 51dcg. on 23rd, 42dtg. on Ist; solar radiator, IGodeg. on 18th, UOJeg. on 20th. Cloudiness ranged from i on four days to 10 on three (sunle**) days.
