XEW ZEALAXDERS DEFEATED, l! A BRILLIANT EXHIBITION'. Received 111, , r >.."> p.m. -Loudon, Deeemebr 3d. At football the Army .Service beat Xew Zealand by 3to 4. It was the most brilliant exhibition of football since the .commencement of the war. The keenest interest- was manifested, at both sides were unbeaten, having,each won 1" matches. Each side included, internationals. Mr. Massey, Sir Joseph Ward, .Sir Thomas Mackenzie and Sir James Carroll were present. The Xew Zealand team was as fol-' lows:—Full-back. Hanna; tliree-(juar. tors, Mculi, O'Brien and. Muir; five« eighths, .Jell's and Campbell,; half, Robcits; forwards, Sheehan, Scllars, Hughes, .Seeling, J. Campbell, West, LangforcJ and Paul. The Army Service team included Tre< varthen and Campbell. For the New Zealanders, Roberts in the first half dropped a beautiful goal. The Army Service in the second "spell notched a try, .which was .converted. The. Xew Zealanders were awarded tw* penalties, Roberts' kicks falling short
