Camp Sergeant-Major X. G. Sutherland, of Inglewood, has been successful in bis effort- for a commission. On Sunday next a church parade is to be Mid, and the vieai will officiate. The town has been practically empty during the holidays, the majority taking trips to the seaside, and 011 Monday and Tuesday there is, a likelihood of a similar state of affairs existing. An inland trip is likely to be taken on. It is whispered that Stratford will probably be decided 011, which town is generally a popular place to open the Xew Year in.
