SENTENCED FOR SEDITION. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, December 23. Peter Eraser and Thomas I;rindie, charged with seditious utterances in Wellington on December 10, were each sentenced by Mr. Riddel), S.M., to-day to twelve months' imprisonment.

SUPREME COURT. Wellington, Dec. 22. Tn the Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Justice Edwards presiding, Ernest Harold Hollidsy was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for theft and three years' reformative treatment, tlie terms to be cumulative. Andrew Benedict DrosJoV' ski was placed on probation for two years for forgery and ordered to pay £3 12; costs of prosecution. Thomas Dock erv, who pleaded guilty to fifteen charges of false pretences since 1011, was sentenced, to two years' imprisonment on .the charge of false protences and the same term on each of four charges of forgery, the terms to be concurrent, and he was declared a habitual criminal.

A SHEARING DISPUTE. Dunedin, Dee. 23. Regarding the shearing trouble at Mount Pisa Station (Central Otago), tlii" men are standing firm in their demand for 27s Gd per hundred and f the .stied is idle and the sheep are turned out,. The men say that in no circumstances will they return to work except on their own terms. The union secretary states that 30s per 100 is being voluntarily given at low country stations.
