December, IPlt!,, the following resolution was passed.-- ' "That on and after the 3rd (lav of April, 1917, the total number of Members of the New Plymouth Borough Council be eight (exclusive of the Mayor, and that in pursuance of the provisions of 'The Municipal Corporations Act, 1905," the whole Council go out of oilice on the above date, and there shall he a fresh election of Councillors.'' And notice is hereby also given that the said resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Borough Council Ofliccs, situate in Liardet Street, New Plymouth, on MONDAY, the Sth day- of January, 1917, at I.fiO p.m., for confirmation as a special order.
