MESSRS. SPEDDTNG'S ENTERPRISE. The first direct shipment of benzine fibm San Francisco lo New Plymouth is expected to arrive by the vessel Narwhal on or about January 10. The consignment has been ordered by Messrs .1. C. Spedding, Ltd., and will lie available for sale as soon_as it arrives. The benzine is manufactured 'by a British concern controlled entirely by British capital, and it is claimed that it will be the highest grade spirit on the local market The Narwhal is the first (if a number of vessels that are expected to arrive shortly direct from San Francisco and Seattle. Iu announcing the arrival of the shipment. Messrs. Spedding point out the importance of the enterprise and what it nil! mean to New Plymouth in opening il. up as a deep-sea port, and they appeal to the public to support their efforts to introduce the consignment to New Plymouth and the surrounding district. New sheds are being erected at the Breakwater for the accommodation of the January consignment and subsequent shipments. The tins are very much stronger than other brands, and every tin has a screw top which makes a valuable asset after the spirit has been emptied into the motor tank. These tins can be used for oils or any other goods of a liquid nature.— (Published by arrangement).
