jGOVERNMENT AGAIN CLIMBS ! DOWN. ALLIES' MINSTERS LEAVE. A COMPLETE BLOCKADE. London, December 15. The Allied Ministers have left Athens. Rome, December 17. The Tribnna's Athens ■ correspondent says that the blockade is exceedingly strict. There, is only sixteen days' bread in the city, and the inhabitants are already on bread rations. Meat and vegetables are plentiful. The Allies completely control the Straits of Corinth. There have been great Royalist demonstrations in the provinces. The Greek Government, in accepting the Allies' demands, notified* that th-y would be carried out as rapidly as possible. She trusts the Powers will reconsider the decision to continue the blockade, which is straining relations and impressing public opinion. The Greek -Vote expresses the desire of the Government and people of Greece for the resumption of the excellent traditional relations with the Entente, based on reciprocal confidence. The evacuation of Northern Greece has already begun, and Allied officers are supervising the transport of troops and materiel 1.
TRANSFER OF GREEK TROOPS. ATHENS CALM. Received Dec. IS, 8 p.ms London, Dec. 18. Mr. Jeffries, wiring from Athens, states that the Franco-British Ministers remain afloat at the Piraeus, pending instructions. It i 9 expected the transfer of Greek" troops and artillery will' be completed in about three weeks. Athens is calm.
