DOMINATION OF AUSTRIA. f Zurich, Dec. 7 It is stated from a well-informed source "that Count Koerber's downfall murks the'triumph of the Prussian and Magyar -plain to exploit Austria. Tlicy are -rAewing th<> Anstro-Hungarian Customs agreement and the commercial agiccment with Germany, thus securing flee admission of Qerman manufactures and Hungarian farm produce to Austria. There are indications that Germany is especially desirous of crushing the C:-ech economic organisation, which threatened to control Austria and even tl> invade Germany.
HUNGER THREATENS DANGER. London, Dee. 17. The Rome correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that extraordinary precautions were taken in Berlin in view of the meeting of the Reichstag. The gravest happenings were considered probable, owing to the exciteinent of the hungry populace. The people were hoping to see large supplies of Roumanian cereals, but they had not yet arrived. WHEAT SUPPLIES FROM ROUMANIA Received Dec. 18, 5.5 p.m. , .Copenhagen, Dee. IS. Dr. Batocki, who is attending the Aus-tro-Hungft'rian food conference at Budapest. stated that 25,0(10.000 hectolitres of grain, including 21,000.000 of wheat, had been captured from Roumania. These supplies would assure Germany and Austria till the harvest. GERMAN COMMUNIQUE. Received Dec,/-IS, 11 p.m. London, Dec. 18. A German evening official communique states: Thrt'e is moderate fighting on the West ar.d East. The army of the Dcbrudja gained ground northwards. German seaplanes bombed the Russian warships at \Sulina.
