GREYMOUTII MINES.WORKING FULL TIME. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Greymouth, December 14. All the coal mines in this district are working full time, and there appears to be nothing to disturlj, ordinary employment in the way of working conditions. The labor organisations are, however, holding meetings throughout the Grey district and passing resolutions asking for the repeal of the Compulsory Military Service Act and the taking of a referendum Mf. Webb, M.P., and Mr. Howard, Christchurch, are the principal speakers against conscription. , THE AURORA. Wellington, December 14. The 'Aurora's departure has been put off. She k expected to leave about the 20th. Dunedin, December 14. The Hon. James Allen says the sole question now about the Aurtfra is fiance. Australia has concurred in the New Zealand proposal and both parties are now merely waiting -the acquiescence of the British Government in the .financial scheme. MAORIS AND THE WAR. Gisborne, December 14. A meeting of representative East Coast' Maoris to-day passed a resolution stating that, while I'ordially endorsing an honorable termination of the present world struggle, no terms of peace are acceptable which do not include full reparation as well to the nations wronged by Germany in its unparalleled outrages against humanity. Failing this, they desire at whatever sacrifice to continue the fight.
