NOTES FROM LONDON. CAPTAIN BLAIKIE'S CASE. COLD STORAGE. . London, December 13. The Admiralty is watching developments in the case of Captain Blaikie, captain of the Caledonia, which rammed a submarine Mr. Newton, head of the War Prisoners' Department, believes that a firm warning will prevent his execution. A meeting of the Cold Storage and lee Association passed a resolution to ask the Home Government to support a scientific investigation into the employment of cold air. Sir Thomas Mackenzie pointed out that had the New Zealand Government not assisted primary industries New Zealand would have been unable to supply tiie Home -Country with meat and dairv produce as she was doing today.
