IMPORTANT CHANGES. A USEFUL COMPENDIUM A guide io New iPlymoutn lias just heen published, containing the new official tramway time-table. Considerable changes have been made in the timetable, the object being to give the public a more convenient service and to effect a more economical work fug of the ears. On tile Morley Street route no change has been made in the daily Service between the hour of starting and •2 'p.m. From 2 p.m. to 7 ''P.m. fewer enrs run, the time elapsing before the departure of the cars from any point on the route, being half-an-hour. From 1 p.m. onwards the cars run as before until the lats car leaves Elliot Street aft f1.50 p.m. < On Hie main route, between Fitzroy and the Breakwater, the. time-table remains exactly the same in the morning daily service. From noon, and for the remainder of the day, the service is speeded up, cars leaving the terminus at intervals of 15 minutes.. The tram service commences on Sunday mornings at 9 o'clock, and continuej until 10.48 a.m., when the last morning car,leaves Egmont S}tTeot for the Breakwater. A break in the service has been made in deference to the wishes of church-goers, and at noon a car runs from Fitzroy to the Breakwater, while another leaves the Breakwater at 1.2.15 p.m. for Fitzroy, The service resumes at 1.10 p.m., and continues throughout the afternoon and evening until the last car, leaving the Breakwater at 9.1C p.m., arrives at tlie depot at Fitzroy. ,' The service on the Morley Street route dees not run on Sundays. Referring to the new time-table yesterday, the tramways'engineer (Mr.'lt. £l. Hartley) said the cars had been running for six nSonths, and the change had been inaugurated with a view to giving the 'public a better service. ' He felt the new time-table would give -satisfaction as soon as the public, became used to it.
