ENEMY ATTACKS REPULSED. I.ondon, Dec. 12. A Russian communique states: Enemy attacks south-east of Kovel and on the weeded Carpatltians in Moldavia were repulsed. Wc captured some heights. The Germans are unsuccessfully attacking Oislau and West Mileiu, 30 miles north-east and 25 miles east of Ploesti respectively. ROUMANIAN RETREAT CONTINUES. London, Dec. 12. The Roumanian retreat continues with a minimum of loss. ENEMY ACTIVITY. London, Dee. 12. A Potrograd telegram says that the Austro-Gernians are active in Wallachia preparing lines of defence, fortifying positions and constructing bridges across the Danube at Giragevo, Tiranus, and Everin. They are employing the whole population above the age of fourteen. KAISER TO VISIT BUCHAREST. - Milan, Dec. 12. Th Secolo says that the Kaiser is shortly to pay a visit to Bucharest. Amsterdam, Dec. 12. General von Stolzenberg has been appointed Chief of the General Staff at Bucharest. Received Dec, 13, 5.55 p.m. Berlin, Dec. 12. An official report states: We captured Mizil, halfway between Ploesti and Urziceni, thirty miles south-east of Ploesti. We took teri thousand prisoners in three days, and captured several gun.i and much war material.
