SLAVERY OF DEPORTED POLES. Received Doe. 10, 5.50 p.m. London, Doc. 9. The Dnily Telegraph's Milan correspondent states that 1,(100,000 Poles, who have been deported and forced to work in German mines, agricultural areas, and munition factories, are practically slaves The men are paid ninepencc, and the women sixpence, wherewith they feed and clothe themselves. If they refuse to work, the soldiers beat ami frequently imprison them on starvation rations uriil they submit.
