ANOTHER STRIKE OF MIXERS. ■Nelson, December 4. The miners at North Cape and Pu ponga mines struck to-day as a protesagainst conscription. The managing director of the North Cape Coal Cc. states that the 'Puponga Miners' Union, which includes the men at both the Puponga and the North Cape mines, intimated that the miners would not return to work till the Military Service Act and the Arbitration Act are repealed, a further condition being an increase of 17M; per cent, on present hewing rates. There are 55 men at North Cape and GO at Puponga.
