THE WOOL MARKETS.

IN CHAOTIC CONDITION. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received Dee. 2, 7.50 p.m. London, Dec. 1. The wool markets are in a chaotic state, pending an announcement of the Government's intentions. At a meeting of the committees of the colonial wool importers, selling brokers, wool broker*, And the wool buyers' association it was decided to ask Mr. Lloyd George to receive a deputation, which will recommend that all wools bought in Australia lind New Zealand, and shipped prior to the Government's taking over, be Bold iu the usual wav.

A number of Yorkshiremen came to London under tho impression that the meeting was open to the whole trade, lmt they were not allowed to he present. They held a meeting themselves and passed a resolution demanding the maintenance of the present conditions. Tho speakers pointed out that by reason of convenience and long Usage, and on economical groirala. sales were far preferable to tho establish inent of the new Government organisations.

At the War Office's invitation a deputation from the Bradford Wool Buyers' Association and the Bradford Chamber of Commerce discussed the whole maitcr with the War Contracts Departments.
