BANNER MATCHES, NEW PLYMOUTH v. WAITAEA. Five rinks from the New Plymouth Club visited Waitara yesterday, and beat the local representatives by 152, points to 90 points. The outstanding feature of the contest was the excellent play at Eraser's rink, his defeat of Johnson being a most creditable performance. WEST END DEFEAT INGLEWOOD. West .End journeyed to Ingle wood and defeated the local club after an interesting contest. The green was very fast, and the tricky wind made accurate bowling very difficult. The game was remaikable for the way in which the scores varied. At one stage of the BealPcreival rink the former was- leading 15 to 4. The Inglewood player then drew to within a point, whilst Beat stood still. Beal then exactly doubled his score, whilst Percival added 4 to his total. In the Branch-Wood game, which ended 2522 in the former's favor, the former at one stage led 15-4.
