THE KAISER. &FRAID OF ASSASSINATION. Amsterdam, Nov. 29.R The Kaiser arrived in Vienna yesterday morning, and returned in the evening. His cold is not improving, and the doctors advised him. to abandon.his proposed attendance at thq funeral. The official reception was cancelled, and the Kaiser devoted the day tt> prayer at Franz JosepVs 'oicr, on which lie laid a wreath.' London, Nov. 29. It is not believed in Vienna that the Kaiser is suf.ering from a cold. It is opinou that the real reason for his hurried departure was that he was afraid cf an attempt at hk assassination. It is reported that only five people were allowed to see the Kaiser in Vienna.
AFTER-WAR TRADE.
GERMAN CONCENTRATED EFFORT. New York, Nov. 20. The Berlin correspondent of tho'New York Times reports that financiers are making the most elaborate plans to regain trade after the war. There is a far-reaching amalgamation of the largest shipping, iron and coal owners, including Krupps, Stices, Nordde'utscher Lloyds, and the Hamburg-Amerika. WAR WITH NORWAY NOT DESIRED Amsterdam, Nov. 29. An apparently inspired version of tin Note to Norway in the German newspapers foreshadows the possibility of Germany yielding to some <of Norway's demands. It does not mention the Norwegian order prohibiting submarines in territorial waters, but promises thiit commanders shall take precautions to save crews belonging to ships which they are obliged to sink.
