A Sydney message reports the death of Mr. John Tebbutt, astronomer. Rifleman A. W. Morey, whose name appears in yesterday's list of wounded, is tho youngest son of Mrs. W. Jforey, New''Plymouth. He left with the 13th Reinforcements.

A Bloemfontein cablegram states that ex-President Steyn died suddenly while addressing a women's congress. Mr. Steyn was 59 years of age. He was a barrister of the Inner Temple, and, after serving as a Judge in the Orange Free State, was President from 18!)G----lOftf). He was intensely Dutch in his views, and never took kindly to the new state of 'affairs which prevailed after tho war.
