The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received tlie following cablegram, dated London November 25, from the High Commiesionei for New Zealand. (Note. —Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot): Meat.—New Zealand frozen meat prices are unchanged. Government is selling slowly owing to large supply of Homekilled mutton and beef and Scotch lambs. New Zealand mutton is very scarce, per lb, SJd; ewe mutton. Sd; Argentine mutton, heai-yiveight. SJd; lightweight. Sjjd; New Zealand lamb, flld; Argentine lamb, SJd; New Zealand bull beef, hinds, 7d, fores Ud; Argentine chilled beef, hinds Sid. fores 7}d.
Butter.—Tie; market continues firm. Danish, market is very quiet, per cwt. 21(5s to 2205; Irish creamery, salted 2114s to 208s, ununited 2nti--. to 2125; Australian, salted 20Js to 2fiSs, unsaltod 20(is Argentine, uusalted '.Wis to 2i!Ss; American creamery, salted JOUs to U'-'s, Sew Zealand, no airivals. Hemp.—The market remains firm, but is affected by expectation of light arrivals. Good fair New Zealand hemp, per ton .CiVJ, fair £sl; Government graded fair Manila.
