Government is selling slowly owing to large supply of Homekilled mutton and beef and Scotch lambs. New Zealand mutton is very scarce, per lb, SJd; ewe mutton. Sd; Argentine mutton, heai-yiveight. SJd; lightweight. Sjjd; New Zealand lamb, flld; Argentine lamb, SJd; New Zealand bull beef, hinds, 7d, fores Ud; Argentine chilled beef, hinds Sid. fores 7}d.

Butter.—Tie; market continues firm.
