CARRIERS IX CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Representatives of the parrying' trade (employers and drivers) met in conference to-day, the Hon. Herries presiding, to discuss matters in dispute. The meeting, which was private, lasted all day, and wa.s adjourned till 10 o'clock to-morrow morning, the parties having been unable so far to reacli a. satisfactory decision, though it is hoped that further discussion to-BMVrow -will' open a way out of the deadlock.
