THOSE CHIMES.
To the Editor Sir, —Would it not lie best for the halfdozen grumblers, if possible, to stay i|> the baekbloeks and let the rest of the inhabitants enjoy those chimes? But perhaps the larks and thrushes, singing at daybreak, might disturb their slumbers. Before closing, I beg to state that I am troubled with insomnia, and while in hospital those beautiful chimes told me the hour and quarters without the trouble of switching on the light to look at my watch, I often wished to be closer, £0 that 1 could hear them more distinctly, as in my home in the Old Country, close to the old cathedral.—l am, etc., A LOVF.H OV THE BE AUTIEUL WF.S'I - iIIXSTER CHIMES
