THE LONDON ZOO.
To the Editor. Sir, —Being .present at the Kmpirc Pictures on Tuesday evening, I read an advertisement re a coming picture, "The Jungle Outcast," featuring Bostoek's famous animals as taking part therein. Now, as New Plymouth does not possess a "zoo," I am writing to express the hope that one or the other of the, picture theatres in New Plymouth will endeavor to obtain the film which has heen shown in Wellington, also at Whangarei, entitled "A Trip to the London Zoo." lam sure that this would prove a great source of pleasure ami be educational, not. only to children but to adults. I have no (ioubt that it would he worth seeing from a scenic point of view, as London's Zoo is situated in one of London's prettiest parks, namely, Regent's Park, which has a fine avenue of horse chestnut trees and beds of beautiful tulips, hyacinths and many more beautiful flowers. I hope that soon the children of New 'Plymouth will have one of the joys of childhood which I once had in my home —dear old London —a trip to the London Zoo, even If it is only on tin. pictures. I guess they will like it. I presume, of course, that it would be shown at a matinee to enable them to go.—l am, etc., ' A LONDONER.
