St. Mary's Hall presented a busy appearance last evening, when the various stallholders, with their assistants, were arranging the wnres in readiness for the opening of the sale, which commences at 2 p.m. to-day. A splendid lot of useful goods will he found at tin! various stalls, and include fancy work and plain sen-lug, a choice lot of cushions, also produce; and a fine lot of pot plants, suitable for table and window decoration, comprising doweling begonias, cinerarias, and some nice, specimens of the popular Xephrolc.pi* ferns. In the evening a musical programme will bo given, when Air. Corngan, who has a fine tenor voice, and who has not hitherto been heard jn Xew Plymouth, will contribute one or more item*.
