There was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle, most of which were sold at the hammer anil afterwards at satisfactory prices. Store cows made from £7 lis to £8 33, mixed yearlings £5 13s to £0 Is, empty heifers £G 15s, springing heifers £(> 7s to £8 2s 6d, bulls £5 15s to £(i 13s, empty ewes 30s, hoggets 30s 7d, ewes and lambs (small) 30s. Our next sale at this centre will be held on December S. On Monday, November 13, we held our postponed monthly sale at Kolmratahi yards. The weather was not too pleasant, the roads being very bad. Nevertheless there was a fair yarding of cattle and sheep, most of which we sold at the hammer and afterwards at advanced prices. Forward cows made up to £9 15s, 2-year, £9 4s to £9 15s. 3-.year steers (small) £ll 12s, empty heifers £8 19s Gd to £7 18s, 15ir.onths heifers from £0 Gs to £G 13s, yearling.heifers £4 18s to £5 17s, yea'', ling steers £5 lis to £0 10s, cows and cahes £8 3s, Shorthorn bulls £lO 15s, 4- and G-tooth wethers 35s (id to 3Ss Id, 2- and '-tooth wethers 30s Gd, ewes (Email) 31s 9d. Our next sale at these yards will be held on December 7. On Tuesday, November 14, we held our unial fortnightly sale at the Stratford yards, and notwithstanding the. Farmers' Co up. opening sale, we had a very large yarding of cattle and small lot of sheep, all of which were sold and some re-sold, and we have to report one of the best sales we have had for some time. Store cows, small £6 18s to £7 13s Gd, medium £!) 5s to £9 19s, good lines £lO 19s to £ll Gs, cows and calves £7 lis to £lO 7s. yearling steers £5 3s fld to £0 Is; yearling heifers, small £4 10s to £5 lis, medium £5 15s to £5 17? On Friday, November 17, we held our usual monthly sale at Tarata, when we hod a fairly large entry of cattle, but no sheep, and have to report an exceptionally good sale, every beast yarded b»irg sold at the hammer. Store cows made from £7 ISs Gd to £lO 2s, forwnid cows £ll lis to £l3, springing heifers (small) £5 10s to £B, cows and eah'es (small) £7 lis, yearling heifers (small) £4 5s to £5 17s, empty heifers £7 15s. One line of nice Holstein. 2-year heifers made £8 14s, 3-year heifers (small) £7 14s to £8 12s Gd, Jersey bulls £0 to £lO 2s Od. Our-next sale at these yards will be held on Friday, Deumber IG. Since our Inst report we have put through a very number of privnte sales, to an unsatisfied demand. Yearling steers made from £6 to £7 10s. This class of stuff is scarce. Yearling heifers £5 to £5 17s Gd, 15-months steers £5 17s Gd to £7 ss, mixed yearlings (small and'poor) £4 15s, 2-year heifers £(1 to £7 10s, forward cows £0 10s, dairy heifers in low condition £S 15s, wethers, 20s Gd to 35s for 4-tooth, 2-tuoth ewes 29s Gd, ewes and 1: mbs 44;! Gd.
