TARASTAKI CHRISTMAS MEETING. In our advertising columns will lie found the detailed programme for the laramiki Jockey (.'lull's ('lii'i>tinas meeting, to be held on .December and 'll. This popular gathering is well endowed with good stakes, and eaters for all classes of horses. There are four open events as follow:—Christmas Handicap, o£ '2UO sovs., one mile and a quarter; flying Handicap, of 100 sovs., six furlongs; New Plymouth Handicap, of 150 sovs., eight furlongs and a half; and Inglewood Handicap, of 10J> sovs., six furlongs. In addition, there are two hack hurdle races and ten back flat events, no stake, being less than 100 sovs. This meeting precedes the Stratford E.C. annual meeting", thus giving owners of horses four days' racing inside a week. The handicapping for the Tr.ranaiki meeting will be attended to by Messrs. G. Morse and M. Shannon, whose adjustments find favor with Taranaki owners. Mr. T. Cameron has been appointed starter, and Mr. J. H. Perrc-tt will fill the judge's box. Entries foi all events close on Friday, November 24. at 0 p.m., and "Mr. George Morse's weights for the first day will be declared on /or about) December S.
