Under the Testator's Family Maintenance Act, the trustees in the estate of the late John Norton, newspaper proprietor, have been ordered to pay Mrs. Norton £25 a week and £I3BO for her expenses since Norton's death. The Political Labor League has presented the Governor with a petition, signed by 20,000 persons, protesting against the prolongation of Parliament. The. Legislative Council passed the Bill prolonging the life of Parliament.
