The feeling of men in high places was expressed in the words ,exclaimed iit all earnestness: ''My God! What an escape we have hud!" And what the speaker saw impressed him with this conviction: '•We are overpricing the munitions probjein. We are steadily making headway with the war. We are winning. We must Win. '"We shall win. Everything is now in our favor, and there is no doubt of the ultimate issue." (Applause.) New Zealand had ilone her share, Mr. 1 Carneross added, and her voice would be heard in the future. "We ara fighting for freedom, liberty, eivilisa« tion, Christianity, everything in this wide world that is worth, fighting for, and everyone in the audience, without! being egotistic, could whole-heartedly say, 'Thank God, I am a Briton!' (Applause.) VOTE OF THANKS. The Hon. 0. Samuel, in the course of a brief address in which he referred to the object of the Parliamentarians' Visit to Britain, proposed a vote of thanks to the speaker for his fine address.
