INGLEWOOD.
Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, Nov. 1 . A social 111 aid of Chaplain McKenzie'a work in Francs was held in the Druids Hall on Thursday evening, the Rev. Ireland occupying the chair. The following programme was submitted: —Piano soio Mrs. Signal; songs bj Mesdames Johnston, Kobb, Roberts, and Signal; duet, Mrs. Robb and Miss N. Allen; quartette, Misses McCorinick (2), J. Allen, and R. Johnston. Parlor games weto also played, and an excellent supper was served by the. ladies, after which a verse of Auld Lang Syne brought the gathering to a close. The Moa Dairy Company has.purchased a motor lorry, which, I understand, .s tc be used in place of horses, an<! should prove a great saving to the company, especially as. horse feed is so dear and there appears to be no chance of a fall in prices for some time. The Makctawa, Dudley, and Durham Red Cross mart takings last Saturday amounted to £52 15s 2d.
