COXCERT AT LIIIPERTOX. A concert was held at evening, in aid of ti'.e Wounded 'Solliars' Fund. The hal] was packed, and Mr. F. Atkinson presided. An excellent programme was submitted, "Several of the leadjug musical talent, in Xew Plymouth taking part. , Song* were given bv Mrs. McDonald, kfin Peart, Miss Smith, and Mr, H. Wells; monologues by Mr. (ioldsworthy; a recitation by Mr. Luke; and a hornpipe by Mr. harry. 'The aecompjniments were played by Miss Leatluim and Misn Smith. The second part of the gramme consisted of a farce, entitled ' From Pumpkin Ridge,' by the Leppertou Senior Cadets, causing much merriment. A dance followed, and ■ was largely attended.
